Tuesday 22nd May 1945

We take on the pilot at 8.46, two hours after I estimated. We parked up inside the boom after breakfast within a quarter of a million where we were four years ago. It is bitterly cold and raining most of the day. But we have a beautiful evening. We see double decker buses.
