We were sorted into cars, ambulances, busses and jeeps. As soon as the word “go” went it was a hell for leather scramble, Brooke driving Brooklands fashion around those hairpin bends. After about 30 minutes five jeeps trailed comfortably behind the police vehicle, the rest of the convoy miles behind.
